Saturday 26th August - Frickley Athletic 0-1 AFC Telford United

The Blues went down to their first defeat of the season as AFC Telford United snatched the win with the only goal of the game after 69 minutes. Jimmy Turner was the scorer, heading in when unmarked at the far post following a left wing corner.

Up to then the game had been evenly contested with few chances at either end, although some good play between Mark Ward and Martyn Woolford saw the latter fire just wide mid-way through the first half.

After the goal the game opened up more but the Blues struggled to break down a resolute Telford defence with the visitors threatening to increase their lead on the break on more than one occasion.
