Saturday 25th November - Frickley Athletic 2-2 Radcliffe Borough The Blues twice came from behind to earn a point in a frantic finish to today's game against Radcliffe Borough. A poor first half display saw the visitors take a 1-0 half time lead through Jamie Miller but Ben Eastwood thought he'd won the Blues a point with an 87th minutes equaliser only for Ian Fitzpatrick to score a 90th minute penalty for the visitors. However, 2 minutes into stoppage time Danny Moore fired in the Blues' second equaliser. With Jon Hood suspended Billy Heath brought in new signing Andy Jeffrey from Bradford Park Avenue in goal whilst Mark Ward replace the departed Rob Pell up front and Kieron O'Brien came in on the left of midfield as Heath started with three centre halves. The Blues started the game comfortably but were shaken when Radcliffe took the lead with their first attack of the game after 10 minutes. They won a corner down their right which was swung in to the near post where Jamie Miller got the slightest of touches to lift the ball over the leap of Jeffrey and into the far corner of the net. The Blues went close shortly afterwards when Steve Robinson's long throw found its way through to O'Brien at the back post but his angled rive was well blocked by Danny Hurst. The Blues began the second half with much more purpose than the first and went close within minutes of the restart with Ward putting an 18 yard shot wide of the left hand post. Minutes later Ward set up Danny Walsh inside the box but Hurst did brilliantly to knock his 10 yard shot around the post. With the Blues pushing forward Scott Wilson exploited the space in the Blues' defence to send Miller clear but he chipped the ball inches wide of the right hand post from just inside the box. Two minutes later Radcliffe were reduced to 10 men when Steve Hill was sent off following an off the ball incident. With time running out substitute Danny Moor flicked a Neil Ashley cross on to Paul Palmer who looked odds-on to score but Hurst again came to Radcliffe's rescue as he parried Palmer's angled 8 yard shot. Almost immediately Steve Kennedy's weak back-pass let in Miller but Jeffrey came out quickly to deny him. Just three minutes after coming on to the pitch O'Brien's deep free-kick fell to EASTWOOD who drilled a low 12 yard shot into the bottom left hand corner of the net. As the game entered the 90th minute Ian Fitzpatrick went down just inside the box under a challenge from Kennedy with the referee immediately awarding a penalty. Fitzpatrick stepped up to score from the spot to seemingly earn Radcliffe the win. However, straight from the kick off O'Brien won a corner down the left which fell to Moore 5 yards out but Hurst brilliantly blocked his shot only for the ball to ricochet back to MOORE who made no mistake this time to slam in the equaliser.
