Heath has missed almost all of this season due to a form of cancer which has seen him undergo numerous tests throughout the season an ultimately have a tumour removed. Hopefully, Steve will receive the "all clear this week". The match will feature the current Frickley side against a Chairman's Invitation XI which will include the likes of Neil Redfern, Martyn Woolford, Steve Kennedy, Gary Ingham, Gary Hatto and Antony Jackson. The Club are also auctioning off the chance to participate in the match both as a player or as assistant manager and the current season's playing shirts will be signed and auctioned individually. In front of a massive crowd of 2666 the home side took the lead after 30 minutes through Steve Foster but Lee Morris got the slightest of touches to a Danny Walsh cross three minutes later to equalise. To make matters worse Jonathan Groome was sent off and will now miss the beginning of next season. Click here 19/04/08 - Despite not playing this afternoon the Blues' UniBond Premier Division survival was ensured due to other results. Ossett Town's defeat to Hednesford Town leaves them unable to finish above the Blues as they have now completed their fixtures whilst although Ilkeston Town and Whitby Town are only 1 point and 2 points respectively behind the Blues they play each other next weekend so both sides cannot finish above us. Well done to Billy Heath, Mark Carroll, the players and all concerned. 16/04/08 - The Blues suffered their first away League defeat of 2008 as they went down 3-0 to title chaser's Witton Albion last night. The Blues were without influential pair Chris White and Dean Jones through injury although Lee Morris returned after suspension.
